PM Modi’s rally in Puducherry attracts supports for NDA, highlighting blunders of previous Congress government
On Tuesday, during an election rally in Puducherry, ahead of the state assembly elections, Prime Minister Narendra Modi stressed that the previous government, which was led by senior Congress leader V Narayanasamy, was a complete disaster. To back his statement, the national leader reminded his audience how the former chief minister had to resign last month as his government failed the floor test, following a series of resignations submitted by his MLAs.
During the rally, the country head was accompanied by AINRC founder and former chief minister N Rangasamy, and AIADMK and BJP leaders. He highlighted how committed National Democratic Alliance (NDA) was towards the growth and development of the Union Territory while drawing parallels with the previous Congress-led coalition government. He added that he could see a “huge wave” of support favoring NDA in the poll-bound states including Assam, West Bengal, Tamil Nadu, Kerala, and the union territory. Puducherry would be holding single-phase elections on April 6.
