Pegasus going to be a key issue for opposition against the Center for the budget session

Ahead of the budget session, the opposition has already planned to attack the center on certain controversial things.

On January 31, the Parliament will witness the Budget Session for this year where the leaders of the opposition had planned to target the ruling party on issues like Pegasus snooping allegations, farmers’ issues, and India-China border tensions.

The Budget session’s two legs will be held in two phases– January 31 to February 11 and March 14 to April 8. It will see President Ram Nath Kovind addressed the parliament at 11 am today. The opposition will be raising issues towards the end of the session.

In the mid, you will witness, Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman project the economic survey for the year 2021-22 in both the Houses before finally coming up with a budget on February 1. The survey will be revealed in Lok Sabha post noon and in Rajya Sabha after lunch.

As per reports, the session will not conduct any Zero Hour and Question Hour during the first two days as the President will be addressing both houses together ahead of the presentation of the Union Budget 2022.

Sitharaman will present the budget on the second day at 11 am post which, proceedings will begin after an hour of the budget speech in Lok Sabha. On the same day, the Finance Minister will present the budget in the Rajya Sabha. Not to forget that it will be a crucial session for both the sides– the ruling and Opposition parties. It is highly possible that the decisions taken during the first lef can have direct implications on upcoming assembly elections in Uttar Pradesh, Punjab, Goa, Uttarakhand, and Manipur.
