Script & Direction of O2 Movie
O2 is off to an intriguing start with an intriguing notion thanks to director GS Viknesh. Unquestionably ambitious, the movie also has a few memorable moments.
It’s easy to build the bond between a loving mother and her sick child, and it later turns out to be one of the movie’s main saving graces.
The movie makes an effort to engage its audience by leaving clues in the first half that relate to specific events in the second half.
But O2 falls short in terms of having a strong sense of narrative. It is very challenging for the audience to empathize with any of the characters.
The events in the second half come off as contrived, and the film’s denouement is unimpressive.
O2 undoubtedly has the makings of a compelling survival thriller, but the screenplay and narration fade away, making it an unfavorable watch.
