MS Dhoni Promotes Childhood Friend’s Sports Shop, Gears Up For 2024 IPL
MS Dhoni, the Indian cricketer and former captain, is getting ready for the 2024 Indian Premier League (IPL) season. Dhoni, who is 42 years old, will be playing for Chennai Super Kings (CSK).
He led CSK to win the IPL title last year and this might be his last season. Recently, Dhoni was seen practicing with a new hairstyle, long hair, which he was known for when he first became famous around 2004.
In addition to his new look, Dhoni is also supporting his friend’s business. He is using a bat with a sticker of “Prime Sports”, a sports shop in Ranchi. This shop is owned by his childhood friend, Paramjit Singh, also known as Chotu Bhaiya.
Paramjit played an important role in Dhoni’s early cricket days by helping him get his first bat sponsorship. Dhoni’s support for his friend’s shop is a way to show his gratitude, especially as this could be his last IPL season.
Dhoni retired from international cricket on August 15, 2020. Although he hasn’t performed very well with the bat in recent seasons, his leadership has been crucial for CSK.
Before the 2024 IPL season, Dhoni visited the Maa Dewri temple near Ranchi, Jharkhand, to seek blessings. A video of his visit has become very popular on social media.
Fans are excited to see Dhoni play again. Last season, he had a knee injury but Chennai Super Kings CEO Kasi Viswanathan said that Dhoni has recovered and is training for the next IPL.
CSK has also added new players to their team, like Daryl Mitchell, Rachin Ravindra, and Shardul Thakur, making fans look forward to the upcoming season.
