Microsoft has introduced a new initiative called ‘Skill for Jobs’ that aims to provide free courses on artificial intelligence (AI) through its collaboration with LinkedIn.

Recognizing the growing importance of AI skills for companies worldwide, Microsoft is addressing this need by offering introductory courses developed in partnership with LinkedIn.

Kate Behncken, Corporate Vice President of Microsoft Philanthropies, emphasized the importance of supporting organizations driving inclusive AI advancements.

LinkedIn’s Skills for Jobs program will play a vital role in this initiative by offering online professional certification for Generative AI.

The coursework will cover introductory concepts, responsible AI frameworks, and provide a career essentials certificate upon completion.

The course is initially available in English and will subsequently be launched in multiple languages, including Spanish, Portuguese, French, German, Simplified Chinese, and Japanese. Microsoft plans to keep the course free until 2025, enabling broader access to AI education.
