Medal Tally CWG 2022: By the 9th day of the Birmingham Commonwealth Games 2022, India’s medal tally is shining with 9 gold, 8 silver & 8 bronze (total 26) medals.
On the 8th Day of the 2022 Commonwealth Games, India won numerous medals, including six medals in wrestling, including three gold, one silver, and two bronze.
The 2016 bronze medalist Sakshi Malik won a gold medal in the CWG 2022, and India’s top wrestler and Tokyo Olympics 2020 bronze medalist Bajrang Punia also secured a gold.
This is his second gold medal in a row. Not to be forgotten is Deepak Punia, who won his first medal ever in the CWG.
Divya Kakran and Mohit Grewal each took home the bronze in their respective divisions, while Anshu Malik, who lost the final match, won the silver.
At the Commonwealth Games 2022, Indian athletes have so far taken home 26 medals, including nine golds, eight silvers, and nine bronze.
