Manika Batra-led PSPB Favored To Win Team Titles in National Table Tennis Championships

The Petroleum Sports Promotion Board’s (PSPB) women’s team, buoyed by the return of Manika Batra, will attempt to redeem itself in the team sports of the 83rd Senior National as well as Inter-State Table Tennis Tournament, which begin on Monday.

Manika was the youngest player of the 5-members squad when the women’s team won the Jayalakshmi Cup previously in the 2017 Nationals in Ranchi.

The PSPB women came second behind West Bengal in the following event, held in Cuttack, but had to settle for bronze as the paddler missed the Hyderabad Nationals.

The PSPB is expected to rebound now that Manika is leading the team. PSPB will count on Manika, Archana Kamath, Reeth Rishya, Krittwika Sinhay Roy, and Madhurika Patkar in their approaches.

Manika, Archana, and Madhurika Patkar are the PSPB’s three national champions. Reeth and Krittwika’s Cup campaign will be bolstered by their recent form, particularly the former’s.
