Mamata slams BJP: On Thursday, Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee slammed BJP concerning the assault on BJP chief JP Nadda’s convoy, adding that they (BJP) are doing ‘nautanki’ or doing drama to grab attention. BJP has no other work, one by one Ministers are visiting Bengal, she added.
Mamata also alluded to BJP leader J.P, Nadda as Chaddha, Nadda, Fadda, Bhadda, adding that when BJP has no audience they approach their workers to do drama.
During his visit to the state, Nadda participated in different programs aimed toward “strengthening the party at the base for polling level”. BJP has stated that Nadda’s convoy was assaulted and party leaders including Kailash Vijayvargiya due to stone pelting at the Diamond Harbor.
In reply, Nadda slammed Bengal CM expressing that this incident talks a lot about the mindset of Mamata Banerjee and her culture. This is not at all Bengali culture,” Nadda added.
Nadda was on a two-day visit to West Bengal where he criticized the TMC for the spreading corruption in the state and stated that ‘cut cash is the order of the day, lifestyle under TMC rule in West Bengal’.
The BJP has stated that some of its workers got injured during the attack by the state’s ruling Trinamool Congress at Shirakol in Diamond Harbor.
Amid a battle of words between BJP and TMC over the demise of party workers in the state, Nadda also claimed that West Bengal was experiencing ‘disorder, turmoil, intolerance’.
Today, the West Bengal governor Jagdeep Dhankhar in a press conference stated that the law and order situation in the state of Bengal has been consistently declining. Union Minister Amit Shah and Defense Minister Rajnath Singh denounced the episode.
The BJP leadership alleged that the assault was intended to thwart Nadda’s program and there were no police officers along with the highway connecting Kolkata to Diamond Harbor.
