Lata Mangeshkar Birth Anniversary: 40-Feet Veena In Ayodhya As A Tribute
To honor the 93rd birth anniversary of the ‘Nightingale of India’ Lata Mangeshkar, a 40-feet Veena has been installed at the Lata Mangeshkar Chowk in Ayodhya.
On the occasion of the 93rd anniversary of Lata Mangeshkar’s birth, a 40 feet veena, weighing 14 tonnes, has been built in Uttar Pradesh’s Ayodhya as a tribute to the iconic singer.
The chief minister Yogi Adityanath will launch the musical instrument dedicated to Maa Saraswati, the Goddess of learning, today at the well-known crossroads known as Lata Mangeshkar Chowk.
Religious and political dignitaries have been invited to the ceremony. The event is reportedly virtually attended by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The Union Tourism Minister G. Kishan Reddy will also attend the event.
PM Modi posted a tweet by tributing the great singer,

I am glad that today, a Chowk in Ayodhya will be named after her. It is a fitting tribute to one of the greatest Indian icons.”

Yogi Adityanath, the chief minister of Uttar Pradesh, will dedicate a crossing that will be named for the Indian nightingale on the anniversary of the late singer Lata Mangeskar.
On Wednesday, CM Yogi is going to inaugurate the Lata Mangeshkar Chowk in Ayodhya as a gift to her admirers.
The crossing now features a 40-foot-long Veena as its main draw. It is about 14 tonnes in weight. In addition to the official opening, Ram Katha Park will have a display of paintings of Lata Mangeskar.
Lata Mangeshkar, who was born in 1929, passed away on 6th February, 2022 at a hospital in Mumbai.
She has received 3 National Awards for Best Female Playback Singer for the films Parichay, Kora Kagaz, and Lekin. The nationalistic song Aye Mere Watan Ke Logo is one of her most well-known songs.
