Karnataka Minister Umesh Katti passes away due to cardiac arrest. He was also a senior BJP leader in the state. He had dreamt of statehood for Karnataka.
Umesh Katti, a BJP leader and minister for Karnataka, died unexpectedly on Tuesday night after suffering a heart arrest, as reported by the news sources. Umesh Katti served as the minister of agriculture, forestry, and civil supplies.
Umesh Katti, who envisioned north Karnataka becoming a state, collapsed at his Dollars Colony home and was taken to Ramaiah hospital in Bengaluru. He, however, was hopeless.
Umesh Katti’s passing was lamented by Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai, who described it as a “great loss for the state.” He claimed that Umesh Katti’s passing has left a big void that will be difficult to fill.
