TechSaksham, an initiative by Microsoft and SAP India has been announced that aims to skill more than 62,000 young women in India in multiple arenas including artificial intelligence, web design, cloud computing and digital marketing. The joint initiative will help women build their careers in the field of technology.
The joint program will hold collaborate with AICTE (All India Council for Technical Education) and state college education departments. This will help support the faculty of institutes participating in the program.

Our partnership with SAP reflects our commitment towards strengthening the skilling ecosystem and closing the digital skills gap by enabling Indian women to pursue the path to success in a digital-first economy,” said Anant Maheshwari, President, Microsoft India.
In the first year of its commencement, the program is projected to train around 1,500 teachers. Each teacher will ten influence more than 50 students, thereby positively impacting 60,000 – 75,000 students in total.
In the initial year TechSaksham is aimed to deliver multiple goals. It will directly train and enable 2000 students, make them ready to seek jobs in technology-related fields. It will support students with opportunities regarding internships, jobs and micro-entrepreneurship offer to 50% of qualified students.
The program will further train 1500 teachers to form a base and establish 5 nodal centers. It will also inspire students towards an innovative and entrepreneurial mindset. The program will further showcase 50 technical solutions to solve certain local problems that will deliver a societal impact.
