Is Akshay Kumar really charging 99 crore for Bachchan Pandey?

Fans cannot wait for Akshay Kumar’s new project as the superstar is all set to make a splashing return to screens after his last release Suryavanshi last year.

But rarely it happen in Bollywood that a movie goes without any controversy. Akshay Kumar himself is not hidden to rumor around his projects and his paychecks. Kymar has a long list of exciting projects and one of the most anticipated ones is Bachchan Pandey.

The movie is reportedly a remake of a Tamil movie Jigarthanda, which was a super hit in the Southern state. The movie stars names like Kriti Sanon, Jacqueline Fernandez, Arshad Warsi among others.

The release of the movie was delayed due to the Covid-19 pandemic and even though it was supposed to be released in January, it has been delayed to 18th March 2022. As the buzz about the movie is only starting to do rounds as very little time is left for its release, one of the rumors about it is the amount Kumar is going to take home from the project.

If reports are to be believed, for this film too, Akshay has charged a bomb. Some of the sources have stated that the action star has charged 99 crores. To one it might seem like a huge number but for Akshay, it was a discounted price. The demand was reportedly negotiated by producer Sajid Nadiadwala. No one has confirmed the news and Akshay will be the last person to discuss figures in media but some of the entertainment websites believe that considering how bankable Akshay is, the figure is not at all surprising.
