IPS officer schools Akshay Kumar after he shares a picture of himself along with cast of Sooryavanshi
Mumbai – After much delay, Rohit Shetty directorial project Sooryavanshi is up for release as the Maharashtra chief minister Uddhav Thackerey has given his nod for the announced reopening of movie theatres from October 22.
The cast and crew of this movie have been eagerly waiting for the Maharashtra government to take this step and call for opening of the theatres as the coronavirus cases come under control. Thackeray’s recent decision has surely given them certain relief as they have been expecting the release of this film for a long time.
Akshay Kumar took to social media to share a behind the scene picture of the three actors–Akshay, Ranveer Singh and Ajay Devgan–along with director Rohit Shetty saying that a lot of families will be thankful of the chief minister after hearing this news. “Grateful for allowing the reopening of cinema halls in Maharashtra from Oct 22,” he said.

To this, an IPS officer RK Vij commented that this can never happen in real life. He was talking in reference to the picture where Ranveer Singh, an inspector is sitting while SP is standing. Vij pointed out, “The Inspector is sitting while the SP is standing, this does not happen.”
In the context of the Indian police, the SP holds a higher rank than the Inspector and hence the remake was made. The remark soon became trending after which even Akshay took a moment to clarify that the photo is of a behind the scene moment.
The Sooryavanshi actor said that for actors, as soon as the camera starts rolling, we are back in the character adding that it was merely a behind the acne picture. He also gave regards to the police team from the whole unit. The IPS officer then quickly thanked the actor saying that he is thankful of the response as well as the respect they have shown to the police. “My comment was also in a lighter vein Will definitely watch the film,” he added.
