Who Will Win the IPL 2024 Title? SRH vs KKR Final Preview

IPL 2024 in India has reached its final stage, i.e. the battle for the trophy and title!

Chepauk saw a nail-biter finish as Sunrisers turned it around in their favor with their all-around exceptional performances being led by the experienced Pat Cummins. The most impactful player of the match was Shahbaaz Ahmed who won the Man of the Match Award for scoring a run-a-ball 18 and picking 3 crucial wickets during Rajasthan’s Run chase. Henrich Klaasen was the sole player in the SRH batting lineup who stood his ground, smashing 4 sixes and making a classy 50 off 34 balls before being bowled out by a fabulous yorker delivered by Avesh Khan.

Travis Head didn’t get a start yesterday and was seen struggling a bit to go hitting from ball one as he has been seen doing in this season. The funny fact that took place during the match was that a total of 5 batsmen were seen going to their dugouts by giving a simple catch to the fielder in the short 3rd man position inside the circle, 4 of SRH and 1 of RR.

Trent Boult cast his magic spell picking up 3 wickets of Abhishek Sharma, Rahul Tripathi and Aiden Markram in the powerplay showing why he is the most coveted of bowlers. The spinners were in for a treat as the fresh pitch helped the Royals to restrict Hyderabad to a low score of 175 if compared to SRH’s totals this season.

In the run chase, Samson, Riyan Parag and Hetmyer couldn’t do their jobs as the SRH spinners weaved the net around by bowling their best spells. Abhishek who is a top-order batsman was seen picking up 2 wickets by bowling his full spell of 4 overs, having earlier only bowled 3 overs in the season.

Dhruv Jurel won the hearts of the crowds as he stood tall holding one end for RR while his teammates collapsed on the other side of the pitch. Besides Jurel scoring an unbeaten 56 off 35, Yashasvi Jaiswal scored a blistering 42 at a strike rate of 200. Other than these 2 no batter did the job for the Royals.

Fans were captured having mixed reactions. While Young fans of Rajasthan wept their eyes, the Hyderabad fans were celebrating as their Sun had risen up to go to the Finals.

SRH faces KKR on the same ground on Sunday. It is yet to be seen who wins this year’s title as the heat rises up with the lies of Narine, captain Iyer, and Phil Salt doing the damage for KKR while Head and Abhishek would like to get in smashing form from ball one-on Sunday evening. Going to be a good cracker of a game for sure.
