India’s Staggering First Innings at the End of 2nd Session
The third test between Australia and India began on Saturday with much hope from the Indian men’s team to bounce back from their thrashing loss of their second test. Nature experimented the determination of Indian men by pouring the rain incessantly which led to the vanishing of the first day. The second day commenced with the commendable first innings of Australia having turned stronger after the brilliant centuries of Travis Head and Steve Smith who helped to end the innings with 445.
Followed by India’s disappointing start from the much anticipated batters Jaiswal and Gill who lost their wickets to the explosive deliveries on the ideal length by Mitchell Starc without even scoring a double digit score. Virat Kohli who entered as usual at the third position of the batting line up was sent to the pavilion after his off-color innings.
At the end of the second session, India’s underwhelming performance saw few hopes with the cricketing shots from the bat of KL Rahul who is currently partnered with the newly arrived Skipper Rohit Sharma
As of now, the third session has been interrupted by the rain once again. Fans are worried that this could make it even harder for Team India to seal their spots for the finals of WTC in 2025.
