India Wins Bronze In Women’s International Tent Pegging Championship
There were 14 countries competing in the Women’s International Tent Pegging Championship. But the Indian team won a bronze on their debut play.
The Indian team, composed of skipper Ritika Dahiya, Priyanka Bhardwaj, and Khushi Singh, won a bronze medal for their country at the prestigious competition in Jordan while making their debut at the Women’s International Tent Pegging Championship.
The Indian squad created an impression in their debut in this competition, which featured 14 different nations. With 136 points, the Indian team came in last place, after gold medalists South Africa (170.5) and second-place Oman (146).
Dahiya and Bhardwaj participated in the singles and couples competitions on the very first day of the competition. At the conclusion of the tournament on Day 1, the team was ranked eighth.
The team participated in both individual and group match points on the second day and took second place with 24 points.

Khushi Singh earned the top spot in the solo competition with 18 points. India moved up to the fourth spot in the final table thanks to an excellent achievement on the second day.
On the third day, the team placed second in the ring, peg, and sword competitions. India placed third overall and won a historic bronze on their first attempt at the International Tent Pegging Federation competition thanks to a consistently strong performance.
Indian Team At Women’s International Tent Pegging Championship
A capable four-person Indian team has been chosen by the Equestrian Federation of India (FEI) to compete in the Women’s International Tent Pegging Championship, which took place in Wadi Rum, Jordan, from September 22 to 24.
India made its debut in the Grand Prix competition, which the International Tent Pegging Federation holds only for female competitors.
Along with Priyanka Bhardwaj of New Delhi and Nanda Agrawal of Uttar Pradesh, Captain Ritika Dahiya of Haryana represented the nation as the first female officer to compete in tent pegging.

Khushi Singh, a 21-year-old inhabitant of New Delhi, was also a reserve player on the Indian team.
Colonel Satinder Singh Solanki (retd), who has previously led the Indian team to gold medal victories as a coach in numerous international tent pegging competitions in nations like South Africa and Egypt, is the team’s head coach.
In preparation for the coaching camp, the chosen riders have been practicing at Delhi Cantt, and on Tuesday, they departed for Jordan.
Along with the hosts, Jordan, the competition featured top riders from 12 nations, including Oman, Russia, the UK, Kazakhstan, Norway, South Africa, and Pakistan.
