India-UAE Relations Set to Grow as Dubai Crown Prince Visits

Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed Al Maktoum, the Deputy Prime Minister of the UAE & the Crown Prince of Dubai, is arriving in India today for a two-day official visit today on 8th April & 9th April. He is coming to India after the invitation of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi. In an official press release, MEA confirmed the news with a plan.
This is his first official visit to India as Crown Prince. He is coming with top ministers and business leaders from the UAE. According to the Ministry of External Affairs several ministers, senior government officials and a high-level business delegation are also coming to India, along with the crown Prince.
The statement said, ‘The visit of the Crown Prince will further strengthen the India-UAE Comprehensive Strategic Partnership (CSP) and strengthen our multifaceted relations with Dubai. The Crown Prince will hold meetings with Jaishankar and Rajnath Singh during his visit.’
Prime Minister Narendra Modi will welcome him and host a working lunch in Delhi today. Sheikh Hamdan will also meet External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar and Defence Minister Rajnath Singh.
During this visit, the Crown Prince will visit Mumbai after Delhi. He will attend a business roundtable to boost India-UAE trade and business partnerships.
The relationship between India and Dubai is not new, both the nationals are sharing stronger cultural and business ties. Around 4.3 million Indians live in the UAE, most of them in Dubai. This visit by UAE’s Crown Prince will help to make India-UAE relations more stronger.
