Ind Vs Aus Day 2 Updates: Travis Head’s Stellar Century Knock Lift Up Australia’s 1st innings
Australia’s supremacy enshrined at the Adelaide Oval during the second day of the test. The day began with the Australian batters Nathan and Marnus who got dismissed at 39 and 64 by Bumrah and Nitish respectively. Followed by the yet another disappointing dismissal of Steven Smith at 2 with the rhythmic swing of Bumrah. Then landed the masterclass player of Australia, Travis Head who placed his team at the position to fight back in the second innings. The unlucky drop of the Head’s catch by Siraj led to a strong foundation for his outstanding knock at Adelaide. Head smashed both spin and pace with his well-structured ability.
With 17 boundaries and 4 sixes Head finished off his game in 140 and his gesture towards his new born baby made the fans at the stadium feel bliss and elated. Both Siraj and Head had been sharing heated words and the rift ended with the dismissal of Head by Siraj, when the scoreboard was at 310/7. Siraj’s celebration provoked some of the Australian fans to boo him. The first innings got over with the fall of lower order batters of Australia at 337.
The second innings kicked off with the Indian openers Jaiswal and Rahul. Wobbling of top order continued even in the second day leading to the fall of much anticipated performers “Kohli, Gill, and skipper Rohit”.
