Impacts of social media on people are based on their age, reports

Social media has never been considered to have a unidimensional impact but in reality, the impact is two-dimensional. There are negatives and positives to the use of social media and no matter what, with what eyes it is seen, things cannot be neglected.

But a study showed that however the people using social media are impacted, it majorly depends on their age and nothing more. Parents have over the years shown their concern over their child’s excessive dependence on social media and constant need to be in touch with it.

Experts, analysts and other researchers have identified that each of these applications have some or the other feature with which the teenagers get hooked on. Considering their tender age, it is all the more easy to get accustomed to whatever they see on social media.

Be it the parents or the researchers, it has become very easy for them to blame everything on social media but the fact is there is not one single thing or person you can spur the whole blame on. In fact a community of scientists assume that the social media may not be at fault at all.

Researchers agree that the risk is the most for the tennagers but having said that it also depends on their maturity level and age bar. Many teenagers may watch some of the most gruesome content on social media and may not be impacted while others may get influenced by slightest of things.

Experts are now looking at the link between social media and the well-being of children. They will henceforth be studying the patterns and take a note of it to convey a more detailed study. “We actually considered that the links between social media and well-being might be different across different ages — and found that that is indeed the case,” said Amy Orben scientist at Cambridge University.
