“I’ll Die, I Swear”: Jasleen Royal’s Raw Confession Post-Coldplay Trolls

Singer Jasleen Royal has finally broken her silence after facing heavy criticism for her performance at Coldplay’s concert in Mumbai last year. In a heartfelt mini-documentary titled Dare To Dream, Jasleen shared the emotional rollercoaster she went through — from technical issues on stage to the wave of online trolling that followed.
The video captures behind-the-scenes moments where Jasleen is seen trying to stay calm while talking to her team about what went wrong during her performance. “Why were my in-ears bursting?” she asked, referring to a sound issue that affected her set. Her team apologized, admitting the technical glitch.
But it was the emotional toll that really came through. “After a certain point, I could feel it — like, it’s time to go home,” she said with tears in her eyes. “There’s a lot of pressure. I’ll die; I swear I’ll die.”
Jasleen also opened up about her journey as a self-taught musician. “I’m not a trained singer,” she admitted. “I know I make mistakes. I keep learning every day. I just don’t want people to think I didn’t deserve to be there. That’s what hurts.”
Her performance drew sharp criticism, Singer Vishal Dadlani called this “embarrassing,” while filmmaker Vivek Agnihotri and singer Antara Mitra also expressed their disappointment.
