There is an accusation game starting against Arvind Kejriwal as one of his own has accused him of wanting to be Punjab CM or better still PM of Khalistan. The former Aam Admi Party leader Kumar Vishwas made a statement that has now received special VIP security attention from the Centre for him.
The celebrated poet is said to have further said that Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal wanted to become the Prime Minister of “Independent Khalistan”. In response Delhi CM has said that he must be the sweetest terrorist who builds hospitals.
The video of his claim was shared by the BJP but he did not make any direct reference to Kejriwal either. The issue has gained even more prominence as the allegations came right before the Punjab elections. Sources in the Ministry of Home Affairs have confirmed that Dr. Kumar Vishwas may now be offered armed security in light of the recent developments.
Punjab Chief Minister Charanjit Singh Channi has already requested PM to start a broad-based inquiry into the whole thing. Attack on Kejriwal has come after he made a statement about Hindus feeling unsafe living in Punjab.
Patiala ex-MP Dr. Dharamvira Gandhi has further said that Kejriwal was trying to dismember Punjabi culture’s trait of brotherhood and togetherness. He said, “He (Kejriwal) holds a constitutional post as Delhi CM. But he has attempted to play the Hindu card much like he played the Sikh card in the 2017 Assembly polls. These are bids to divide the people. There is no threat to any community in the state. All have lived here in peace and harmony. The election commission should issue him a notice and demand a clarification.”
