ED Raids Rajasthan Congress Minister House In Midday Meal Scam Case
Rajasthan’s Ashok Gehlot government may face increasing challenges as Enforcement Directorate (ED) teams conducted raids on companies linked to Home State Minister Rajendra Singh Yadav.
Rajendra Yadav is the Higher Education Minister in the Gehlot government. He is also a close aide of Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot.
Searches are currently underway. Several ED teams from Delhi have arrived. Just a few days ago, the Income Tax department had taken action against Yadav’s companies.
Prior to this, the Income Tax department had conducted raids at Rajendra Singh Yadav’s residence. This is not the first time that a central agency has raided the residence of a minister in the Gehlot government.
The previous Labour Minister Mahesh Joshi’s department was raided by the ED on allegations of irregularities. It is believed that due to the upcoming elections, the Congress will try to make this a major issue.
According to information, this entire matter is related to Mid-Day Meals. Central agencies are investigating irregularities in the Mid-Day Meal scheme.
In September 2022, the Income Tax department had conducted raids at 53 locations belonging to Rajendra Yadav.
It should be noted that Minister Yadav is associated with various businesses, including education. Sources say that this search operation is targeting manufacturers, suppliers, associates, and acquaintances involved in producing mid-day meals and nutritious food.
At the time, searches were conducted at 37 locations in Jaipur and Kotputli, with manufacturers and suppliers’ homes, factories, offices, warehouses, and Kotputli associates. Additionally, action was taken against associates’ locations in Delhi, Maharashtra, and Uttarakhand.
According to sources, the Income Tax department received information that large-scale irregularities were taking place with contracts.
This investigation also raised questions about the involvement of state governments, which are associated with political funding.
Income Tax department teams had also raided locations in Ghaziabad and Lucknow in Uttar Pradesh, Gurugram in Haryana, Raipur in Chhattisgarh, and Delhi.

The Rajasthan government, led by Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot, will face severe challenges in the upcoming election. ED and IT (Income Tax department actions are ongoing at his ministers’ residences and companies.
ED is conducting searches on companies linked to Minister Rajendra Yadav. Searches are being carried out at both his residence and office.
Documents at both locations are being examined. There is a police team outside Yadav’s house, and no one is being allowed to enter from outside.
