Despite China’s threat, Speaker of the lower house of the US Parliament, Nancy Pelosi arrived in Taiwan on Tuesday & met with Taiwan’s President Tsai Ing-wen.
Nancy Pelosi, who presides over the lower house of the US Parliament and is the Speaker of the House of Representatives, arrived in Taiwan on Tuesday.
A verbal exchange between the United States and China has begun as soon as Representative Pelosi has arrived in Taiwan.

The Chinese government’s official newspaper, Global Times, has taken out its frustrations on the United States in light of Representative Nancy Pelosi’s trip to Taiwan.
The Global Times reported that the United States of America has broken many of the agreements that it has made.
During this time, Nancy Pelosi addressed the legislature of Taiwan on Wednesday, stating that the US chip bill would present a favorable opportunity for US and Taiwanese collaboration within the industry.
Pelosi also expressed the hope that she would be able to expand parliamentary interactions with Taiwan.
Statements By Taiwan’s President
The President of Taiwan – Tsai Ing-wen has said,
“We will firmly uphold the sovereignty of our country and maintain the line of defense. At the same time, we want to work in cooperation and unity with all democracies around the world to protect democratic values.”
Taiwan’s President Tsai Ing-wen also said,
“We are committed to maintaining peace and stability in the Taiwan Strait. Taiwan can become a major stabilizing force in regional security to ensure a free and open Indo-Pacific.”

During the Taiwan visit, US Speaker Nancy Pelosi stated –
“America has always promised to stand with Taiwan. On this strong foundation, we have a thriving partnership based on self-government and self-determination, committed to economic prosperity, focused on mutual security in the region and the world.”

Speaker Nancy Pelosi further said,
