Critics Choice Awards: RRR Becomes Best Song & Best Foreign Language Film

SS Rajamouli’s RRR has won big again at the international level. The Jr NTR and Ram Charan starrer film has won 2 awards at the Critics Choice Award 2023.
The 28th Critics Choice Award has given huge victories to SS Rajamouli’s “RRR.” The masterpiece took up the Critics’ Choice Award for Best Song for “Naatu Naatu,” while director SS Rajamouli received “Best Foreign Film.”
Five categories, including Best Picture, Best Director, Best Foreign Language Film, Best Song for “Naatu Naatu,” and Best Visual Effects, were nominated for the movie.
The Critics Choice Awards’ official Twitter account said in a subsequent tweet, “The cast and crew of @RRRMovie deserve congratulations as the #criticschoice Award winners for Best Foreign Language Film. #CriticsChoiceAwards”
Prior to that, the song “Naatu Naatu” by “RRR” composer MM Keeravani won a Golden Globe and the Los Angeles Film Critics Association’s (LAFCA) Best Music/Score award.
On January 11, MM Keeravani received a Golden Globe for the RRR song “Naatu Naatu.” For the first time ever, an Asian song won the prize. On social media, Keeravani’s speech from the occasion went viral.

The historical epic “RRR,” which takes place in the 1920s, is based on two revolutionaries who resisted the rubbishing British Rule.
In 2022, the movie was made available in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, and Malayalam. The film received a tonne of support from various countries, including the US and Japan.
