Congress Released its Candidates List from Raebareli and Amethi. Where does Rahul Gandhi Stand?

Today is the last day of nomination for the poll which will be on May 20. Today Indian National Congress released its candidate list from the most awaited constituencies of  Raebareli and Amethi of Uttar Pradesh.

After a long suspense term finally on the last day of nomination Congress released their candidates from Amethi and Raebareli. On May 3^rd Rahul Gandhi filed their candidacy from Raebareli and on the same day, Kishori Lal Sharma filed his candidacy from the constituency Amethi.

Both constituencies were most awaited because these two were the stronghold for Congress once. But in 2019 Rahul defeated the Lok Sabha election from Amethi. Smriti Irani from BJP won that seat in the 2019 Lok Sabha Election.

After announcing candidates from the constituency, Congress posted on the X platform that these candidates were selected by the ‘Central Election Committee’.

It is now clear that Indian National Congress (INC) candidate Rahul Gandhi will face Dinesh Pratap Singh in Rae Bareli and Kishori Lal Sharma will fight against Smriti Irani in Amethi in the upcoming elections. Remember that in the last elections of 2019, the BJP candidate from Rae Bareli lost the Rae Bareli seat to senior Congress leader Sonia Gandhi.

According to the NDTV Congress worker Yogendra Yadav talked to the media about KL Sharma’s candidature from Amethi, he said that Sharma will win.

Yogendra Yadav said, “There is no disappointment. We will win from here (Amethi). KL Sharma is also a part of the (Gandhi) family now. He has worked for the Gandhi family in Amethi for 30 to 35 years”

KL Sharma is a Congress leader active in Rae Bareli and Amethi. He takes care of these constituencies when Rahul Gandhi and Sonia Gandhi are not present there.

Priyanka Gandhi also said the same. She wished KL Sharma by sharing a post on X.

So, after the announcement of these hot seats of UP, now Congress is preparing for Rahul Gandhi’s road show in filing nomination. All the big faces of Congress including Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge are in Rae Bareli today.
