Punjab’s verdict for the Aam Aadmi Party has not gone unnoticed by anyone with the slightest interest in political affairs. The vote bank seemed positive and active for the chief ministerial candidate Bhagwant Mann.
It was undoubtedly a massive victory for the party, which till now ruled only in the national capital. On Friday, the CM-designate stated that he will take oath as the state chief minister on March 16, 2022.
Another special aspect about him taking oath is that the ceremony will be held in Khatkar Kalan — the native village of freedom fighter Bhagat Singh. “I met the Governor, handed over the letter of support from our MLAs and staked a claim to form the Government,” Mann said.
He also added that the governor said that please inform him wherever he wanted to hold his ceremony that they will arrange for it. With this, the popular Punjabi figure also said that there will be some historic decisions under his term that were never seen before.
People from each household are invited for the event where they will also witness tribute to Bhagat Singh, added Mann. The AAP candidate also promised for a good cabinet which will be taking historic decisions and hence asked his supporters to wait and keep supporting him. Mann has also invited AAP national convener and Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal for the event. There is a visible satisfaction on the faces of AAP leaders after the historic win in Punjab where the party registered victory with 92 seats in the 117-member Punjab Assembly.
