CISF Apologizes to Actress Sudha Chandran After She Raised her Airport Ordeal of Security Check

Delhi -The Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) apologized to Bharatnatyam dancer and actress Sudha Chandran after she addressed the ordeal at the air terminal on social media posts. 

Sudha said she is required to remove her prosthetic limb during security checks every time she travels via airlines. Many passengers like her with prosthetic limbs face pain and difficulties during the security checks as they face similar issues. She appealed to PM Modi for helping in issuing a senior citizen’s card for people.

In the video, she says, “Good evening, on an extremely personal note I would like to address to our dear Prime Minister Narendra Modi Ji, and a special appeal to the Central Government, My name is Sudha Chandran, an entertainer and artist by profession, who dances with an artificial limb, made our nation proud.”

After introducing herself, Sudha stated that she had requested the CISF authorities to conduct an ETD (Explosive trace detector) test each time she travelled via the airport. However, they ask her to remove it.

Sudha Chandran added, asking PM Modi if this is humanly possible? Is this the respect that a lady gives to another lady in civil society? Is this what our nation is addressing? She humbly requested PM Modi to provide people with a senior citizen card.

Actor Karanvir Bohra likewise reposted the video And composed, ‘I concur with you #sudhaji there ought to be facility made for such circumstances. Sudha even expressed gratitude toward the Bohra for his support. 

The renowned actress and Bharatnatyam dancer have made India proud by performing on stage all over the world. She lost her limb when she was just 16 years old in an accident in 1981. Based on her life, she has received the National Film Award in Special Jury Award for a popular Telugu film, “Mayuri”.
