RRR team is currently on a tour for the promotion of the film across India ahead of the release of the film. The film is set to release on more than 6000 screens worldwide.
The RRR team have planned to travel to Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Baroda, Delhi, Jaipur, Amritsar and Kolkata, and Varanasi for promotions.
The upcoming film has been hitting the headlines lately. The movie is set to release on 25 March 2022. However, fans in Karnataka have taken to Twitter to express their grief at the film not being released in the Kannada language in Karnataka. Reportedly, #BoycottRRRinKarnataka has been trending on Twitter.
On Wednesday, fans tweeted in sync with the trend #BoycottRRRinKarnataka. They are angry because the film is available only in Hindi and Tamil languages. A social media user wrote on Twitter, “Your movie will not be encouraged in Karnataka if you have the audacity to release tickets in all other languages except Kannada.#BoycottRRRinKarnataka.” Another user wrote, “Stop dumping Telugu on Kannadigas.” However, many users demanded the release of the film in the Kannada language.

RRR is based on the lives of Telugu freedom fighters, Alluri Seetharama Raju and Komaram Bheem. The film stars Ram Charan, Jr NTR, Alia Bhatt and Ajay Devgn. The film is directed by SS Rajamouli. The budget of the film stands at Rs 336 crore. Reportedly, the amount excluded the salary of the cast as well as the crew.
The film’s Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam, and Kannada versions will be available on ZEE5. The film will also be streamed on Netflix in Hindi, Portuguese, Korean, Turkish, and Spanish languages.
The film was originally planned as a July 30, 2020 release. However, due to unforeseen delays, it will be released on 25 March 2022. Reportedly, NTR believes that this film will pave the way for more multi-starrer films.
