On Wednesday, Bharti Airtel launched a set of cybersecurity solutions for business enterprises called Airtel Secure.
Airtel Secure is going to provide clients with endpoint security, cloud DDOS protection, email protection, and more. It will have a Security Intelligence Center, with access to superior technology and AI tools. The telecom giant has invested around ₹100 crores to build Airtel Security Centers in the National Capital Region (NCR), CEO Gopal Vittal told in a press meeting.
The coronavirus pandemic crisis situation led people to work from home. It later increased the amount of cyber-attacks by hackers on private data of many companies. India, the world’s second-largest internet market, positions fifth worldwide when it comes to episodes of cyber-attacks.
Data protection has become a big priority nowadays with rising tensions amid pandemic, the India-China border issue and the banning of around 200 Chinese applications by the Central Government due to national security.
Radware, which is another partner of Airtel Secure, will be setting up the first worldwide data scrubbing center in India to guarantee safety from data threats at the source.
Vittal stated that cybersecurity is an important requirement. Airtel Secure is set up to serve this demand. It combines Airtel’s strong network security with the latest technology solutions presented through global partnerships to provide end-to-end security services.”
“Small scale companies may not possess the budgets that bigger businesses do, therefore, we are engineering a product portfolio that can cater to the needs of all small enterprises and enable them to protect their data as well,” he added.
