Bharat Bandh today as protesting marks 10 months of agitation, trains stand cancelled

SKM said in a statement, “As this historic struggle completes 10 months, SKM has called Monday to be observed as Bharat Bandh against the anti-farmer Modi government. The bandh will be observed from 6 am to 4 pm during which all private and government offices, educational institutions, industries, shops, and commercial establishments will be closed pan India. SKM has said that no movements would be allowed in certain portions of national highways. This morning the Delhi-Meerut Expressway was blocked near the Ghazipur site of protest affecting incoming traffic from Uttar Pradesh. Delhi borders with Gurgaon and Noida witnessed heavy traffic jams.

The Shambhu border between Punjab and Haryana has also been blocked by the farmers. “It is expected the agitating groups may sit on dharna on roads and highways and block them for some time. The national and state highways in Haryana may see some traffic disruptions for several hours,” a state police spokesperson said on Sunday.
