Amarinder Singh Insults Sindhu As Ally Of Imran Khan
Punjab -Former Punjab CM Amarinder Singh has made a strange claim that he had to rethink including Navjot Singh Sidhu in his government, on the insistent of bigwigs in Pakistan.
The rumor around that is that Mr. Sindhu has a close alliance with the Pakistan PM Imran Khan. In response, Sindhu has called it rubbish and made a public statement about Singh saying that he is a ‘spent cartridge’ and refused to respond further. Amarinder Singh had decided to float a separate party after differences with Congress. He was never in favor of Navjot Singh Sidhu becoming Punjab Unit Chief in the first place. In a public statement, he has said that he found Sidhu completely incompetent, and took more than 70 days to finish one file.
At the BJP Headquarters, Mr. Singh said, “several weeks later I got a message from somebody we both know, he knows and also I know. I got a message from Pakistan that the prime minister (Imran Khan) has sent a request that if you can take Sidhu in your cabinet, he will be grateful. Sidhu is an old friend of his. And if he doesn’t work you can remove him.”

He also claims that he had advised Congress president Sonia Gandhi five years ago not to induct “this incompetent man” into the party. Sidhu and Singh had been at loggerheads and never had cordial relations from the very beginning the Congress formed government in Punjab in 2017.
