Aishwarya Rai Bachchan Questioned for five straight hours

Actress Aishwarya Rai Bachchan left the Enforcement Directorate office on Monday night after being continuously questioned for over five houses on her name popping up in the Panama matter.
Her alleged role in the forex violations related to Panama Papers makes her play an important role in the matter. It is yet not clear whether the actor has been summoned for later dates or not as it will further mean that the actor indeed has a role to play.
As per the latest developments, the actor’s statement has been recorded and she has been asked about the claims where she parked her money in a company based in the British Islands.
The 48-year-old actress has been till now summoned twice for the matter and there are chances that she will be summoned once more because insiders reveal that some of the issues are yet to be tackled. The ED started investigating the matter in 2017 when the Panama papers were first leaked.

The notice was issued in the name of one of the most prestigious families of Hindi film industry since 2004 where they had to explain their foreign remittances under the Liberalised Remittance Scheme (LRS) of the Reserve Bank of India. The ED also said that Rai has already submitted payment records over the past 15 years.
The case claims that the actor allegedly exited a company in 2009 which she had acquired from Dubai based BKR Adonis.
The current investigations are surrounding the Panama Papers since the documents were stolen from Mossack Fonseca and leaked to the media in 2016.
