Air India ‘Republic Day Sale’: Tickets Starting At Just ₹1,705

Air India has launched ‘Republic Day Sale’ for economy class across domestic flights in India from 1st February to 30th September, 2023.

The “Republic Day Sale” has been launched on a few domestic networks in India by the Tata Group-owned Air India, a Star Alliance member. Discounts on airline tickets to India’s 74th Republic Day are part of the offer.

The promotion, which went live on January 21, 2023, is still in effect as of today, January 23, 2023, and it’s accessible through all Air India booking platforms and registered travel partners.

Only the Economy Class will be able to purchase these discounted tickets, which are valid for domestic flights within India from February 1 through September 30, 2023.

One-way tickets for the sale’s flights start at Rs 1,705, and the lower fares are valid for travel to 49 domestic locations.

On the domestic network, one-way discounted fares on flights between Dimapur and Guwahati start at Rs 1,705, Ahmedabad to Mumbai at Rs 1,806, Mumbai to Bengaluru at Rs 2,319, and Goa to Mumbai at Rs 2,830, among other routes.

The sale was made at the same time that Air India was hit with a one-time fine of ₹30 lakh by India’s aviation watchdog DGCA for handling the incident improperly in which a passenger urinated on another passenger on a trip from New York to Delhi on November 26, 2022.

The director of in-flight services for Air India was fined Rs 3 lakh for failing to perform her duties, and the pilot’s license was suspended as well.

This is the first occasion the DGCA has fined an airline for disruptive behavior by passengers during takeoff or landing.

“We humbly acknowledge the shortcomings in our reporting and are making the necessary preparations to fill them.

Additionally, we are enhancing our crews’ knowledge of and adherence to our protocols for addressing instances involving rowdy guests “A representative for the airline added.
