According to sources, Singla had demanded one per cent commission on tenders.
Quick action by Chief Minister
This was a quick action by Chief Minister Mann, a step he took just 10 days after he received complain against the minister. This is an unprecedented move, just the second one in history when a Chief Minister has sacked his own minister. The first such incidence was by Delhi Chief Minister and Aam Aadmi Party convenor Arvind Kejriwal when he had sacked one of his own cabinet minister over corruption charges in 2015.
The complain
Complain against Singla was filed by a government official to the Chief Minister’s office. An operation was then conducted that revealed that the Health Minister and people close to him were demanding commission on tenders. The action was taken by CM Mann following revelation by call recordings and other evidence.

“Not even one per cent corruption will be tolerated,” said CM Mann in a video message. “The people have voted for an AAP government with a lot of hope, we have to live up to it. As long as mother India has a son like Arvind Kejriwal and a soldier like Bhagwant Mann, the great war against corruption will continue,” he added.
Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal has lauded the action by CM Mann against corruption.
