Aamir Khan’s son Junaid Khan starts working on his debut movie
Bollywood superstar Aamir Khan’s son Junaid Khan will soon be debuting with his new movie Maharaja and the youngster has already started preparing for it. The actor will be debuting under Yash Raj Productions and will begin shooting for the new venture on February 15.
As per a report in the Bollywood Hungama, the production house has created a huge set over the last month at Vijay Nagar in Marol, where reportedly this film will be shot. The film will be directed by Siddharth P Malhotra and the production team has already started the groundwork.
The movie has a talented cast with Shalini Pandey as the lead. She became popular with her role of Preeti in the South Indian blockbuster Arjun Reddy. Other than her, Saravri Wagh and Jaideep Ahlawat are also a part of the film.
The film is reportedly based on the Maharaj Libel Case which is set in 1862. The plot revolves around the case where the head of a religious section had filed a case against a newspaper, which had run a story about the sexual exploitation of female devotees. Junaid Khan will be donning the character of the journalist.
Last year, there were numerous media reports that revealed that the actor has been gearing up for his future in the Hindi movie industry. He has left no stone unturned in learning the methodologies of an actor. He also took some online courses to shape himself as an actor.
He has been active in theatre practices but before entering this form of art, the actor studied theatre in LA at AADA for two years after which he was selected to be a part of renowned plays like A farming Story and A Few Good Men, he had received a lot of appreciation for his performance in them but it only remains to be seen how he brings his experience into the cinematic world.
