YouTube Releases List of Most Popular Videos & Creators of 2022

Now that the year is coming to a close, YouTube has published a list of the top videos and creators from India in 2022. Keep reading for further information.

The video “Age of Water,” which was published by the account Round2Hell, was the most popular one in India. It is a comedy set in a dystopian world where there is a water crisis.

The second-most watched video, Sasta Shark Tank, a parody of Shark Tank India, received 56 million views in just eight months.

With 33 million views, YouTuber Carryminati roast of “strange Indian culinary trends” came in third place.

The two most well-liked song videos were Arabic Kuthu and Srivalli and Sami Sami from the film Pushpa. 

The Pakistani smash-hit Pasoori was ranked 8th among the top music videos, while Oo Antava was ranked seventh.

The top creators on YouTube in 2022 were primarily those who created short videos. Shorts Break (with over 15 million subscribers), Gulshan Kalra (17.9 million subscribers), and Akshay Nagawadia rounded out the top three (14.7 million subscribers).

Among streaming services Spotify has also made public a list of the top songs of 2022.

The most streamed artist in India was Arijit Singh, who was trailed by Pritam, AR Rahman, Anirudh Ravichander, and Shreya Ghoshal.

The 6th and 8th most streamed artists in India were the Punjabi singers Sidhu Moose Wala and AP Dhillon, respectively.

Excuses by Dhillon, Pasoori by Shae Gill and Ali Sethi, Kesariya (from Brahmastra) by Pritam, Arijit Singh, and Amitabh Bhattacharya, No Love by ShubhMusic, and Chaand Baaliyan by Aaditya A were the top-trending songs.

Users of Spotify were also allowed to see and share compilations of their own playlists in 2022.
