YouTube Gets Tough On Ad Blockers, Either Pay Or Watch Ads

YouTube has recently changed how it deals with ad blockers. Ad blockers are software that people use to stop ads from showing up when they watch videos.

But now, if you use an ad blocker, YouTube is asking you to either turn it off or buy a YouTube Premium subscription to continue watching videos without any problem.

This new move by YouTube is part of a global plan to make people either watch ads or go for the premium service, which also includes YouTube Music. The company has said that ads are essential because they let billions of people watch their favorite content for free.

Ads also support a wide range of creators around the world. If you have been using an ad blocker, you might have faced issues in viewing videos recently. That’s because YouTube is getting strict about this and even ran a “small experiment” in June to stop videos for those using ad blockers.

As for subscription options, YouTube has made some changes. They have removed the “Premium Lite” plan, which gave you ad-free videos but not other features like offline downloads or YouTube Music. This comes after YouTube increased the prices for its regular Premium plans.

To add some more details, YouTube is also making changes to YouTube Music. They plan to change the background to make it look better and help people see text and other details more clearly.

YouTube is simply telling us to either turn off the ad blocker or pay for a YouTube Premium subscription, which costs $14 a month.

There have also been some changes in YouTube’s subscription options. They stopped their ‘Premium Lite’ plan which was a bit cheaper but didn’t offer features like offline video or music.

This comes after YouTube increased the prices of its normal Premium plans. Even the family plans have become more expensive now.

So, YouTube is making it hard for people to skip ads. They want you to either watch ads or pay for their Premium service. They’ve also made changes to their subscription plans to focus more on the Premium option.
