Your SIM To Get An Aadhar ID Soon, Introducing Mobile Customer ID

The government is starting something new for everyone who uses a mobile phone, through DoT (Department of Telecommunications). They are giving a special number to each person who has a SIM card.

It’s like Aadhar, but just for your phone numbers. This number will help in stopping people from getting SIM cards in the wrong way. It’s a good thing because it will keep your phone number safe and make sure no one can use your name to do something they shouldn’t.

With this special number, it will be easy to know all the phone connections you have. It’s like how the health ID works, where your medical information is all in one place.

This number will have details like where you got your SIM card. And if someone tries to get too many SIM cards, this system will catch that.

In the last half-year, the government found over 64 lakh phone numbers that weren’t following the rules, thanks to technology that can recognize faces. It shows they are serious about keeping things safe.

The government is also thinking about asking who in your family will use the SIM card you get. It helps because there are rules about how companies need to handle children’s information safely.

The government has a plan to keep a close eye on the SIM cards by giving this special number when you apply for a phone connection.

They will sort these numbers by different things like how old you are, if you’re married, how much you earn, and what kind of job you have. They want to see how SIM cards are used and if something doesn’t look right, they can stop those numbers.

For kids using phones, companies need to be really careful and make sure they have permission from parents. This is important for protecting kids’ private information.

By December 1, there will be new rules that say companies have to check the identity of the people who sell SIM cards very carefully. This will help make sure that everything is done right and safely.
