Rohit Sharma is the youngest captain in the history of the IPL. Mumbai Indians were having trouble in IPL 2013, therefore they gave Rohit Sharma the captaincy in the middle of the season. After a poor start, the youthful skipper took over and stunned everyone by winning the Indian Premier League title.
When Rohit Sharma won the IPL 2013 title as captain, he was only 26 years and 26 days old. After winning the title in 2013, he went on to win it five more times in 2015, 2017, 2019, and 2021, making him the only captain in Indian Premier League history to do so.

MS Dhoni has won the Indian Premier League four times and is the oldest skipper to do so. He won the IPL trophy in 2021 at the age of 40 days and 70 days. In 2010, 2011, and 2018, Chennai Super Kings also won the title. In the history of the IPL, he is the second most successful skipper.
Shane Warne of Australia won the inaugural season of the IPL as the captain of the Rajasthan Royals at the age of 38 years and 242 days. Adam Gilchrist, who was 37 years and 131 days old when he won the title as captain in 2009, was 37 years and 131 days old at the time.
Hardik Pandya, 28, has become the newest captain to win an IPL trophy for his franchise Gujarat Titans after they defeated Sanju Samson’s Rajasthan Royals in the final of the 2022 season.
