Top 5 World Leaders That Are Narendra Modi’s Friends

Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi has a unique diplomacy at play. He is one of the rare leaders today who has been able to build strong bonds and friendships with leaders across the world. Coming from a third world country does not deter his spirit to bring India on the center of the global map. Modi has been recently on a European tour visiting eight countries, trying to iron out creases amongst those who have been troubled over India’s association with Russia, amidst the latter indulging into humanitarian crises created in Ukraine.

Here is a lowdown on Modi’s friendship with 5 top leaders in the world:

1). Emmanuel Macron:

After his re-election, Modi is the first leader he has met since the Ukraine war and his grueling struggle to get his leadership in place.

2). Boris Johnson

Despite criticism back home, Johnson was engaged with Modi at his home town in Gujarat, spotted sitting on bulldozer, which apparently, was in the center of the controversy over religious driven demolitions

3). Vladimir Putin

One of the richest politicians today, Modi shares a very special relationship with Russia. Just before Kremlin set off an onslaught of attacks on Ukraine, Putin made a special visit to India; something that a Russian leader has not done in two decades.

4). Olaf Scholz

His relationship with the new German Chancellor is also a unique one in the making. Olaf Scholz has greeted Modi in Berlin with grand fanfare and exchanged views on strategic, regional and global developments.

5). Mette Frederiksen

PM of Denmark is the new leader in his bouquet of flowers that has been added to his friends. Not having extended it here, but Modi has a rule of hugging his counterparts, breaking walls of formality and extending relationships of warm friendship.
