Why Was Sunny Deol Roaming Drunk On Mumbai Streets?

A video of the renowned actor Sunny Deol has recently grabbed the spotlight on social media. This clip showed him seemingly wandering the streets of Mumbai late at night, leading to a flurry of speculations and comments from netizens.

In the video, Sunny Deol was seen in the Juhu area of Mumbai, and it appeared that he was not completely steady on his feet (he seemed drunk). 

He was even taking assistance from an autorickshaw driver. This led to widespread speculation among social media users, with some suggesting that the actor was under the influence of alcohol. 

Comments ranged from people saying he seemed drunk to others jokingly linking his alleged inebriation to the success of his latest film, ‘Gadar 2‘. Phrases like “Success ke nashe ne Sunny Deol ko nashedi bana diya hai” and “Lagta hai zyada daaru pi liya hai” were among the comments made by users.

However, the truth behind this video is quite different and far less sensational. Sunny Deol himself clarified that the video was actually from the shooting of his upcoming film titled ‘Safar’. 

He addressed the rumors with a statement, “Afwaahon ka ‘Safar’ bas yahin tak,” effectively putting an end to the speculation and confirming that what was perceived as a drunken wander was in fact a scene from his film.

It’s important to note that Sunny Deol, in his past interviews, has consistently maintained that he does not indulge in alcohol or any form of intoxication. He has expressed his lack of interest in drinking on several occasions, emphasizing his stance on the subject.

Sunny Deol is currently engaged in multiple film projects. He’s set to feature in ‘Lahore 1947’, a film to be produced by Aamir Khan. 

This collaboration is significant as Sunny and Aamir have had a history of iconic box-office clashes (Ghaatak vs Lagaan), but this will be their first project together. Besides this, Sunny Deol is also rumored to be in talks for ‘Border 2’ and has the sequel of ‘Apne’ lined up.
