Chief Minister of Delhi Arvind Kejriwal, the father of AAP announced his resignation. He said that he will return to office only after a verdict by people of India on the corruption allegations. Although Kejriwal is stepping down as the CM of Delhi but as per the expert opinion it is a temporary move.

Leaders like Manish Sisodia, former Deputy Chief Minister are not the part of the race of CM. The new Chief Minister is likely to serve for only a few months with assembly elections in Delhi expected in February next year. However, there is a possibility of an earlier election in November 2024. Arvind Kejriwal demanded for the re election along with polls of Maharashtra.
