A 26-year-old man named Kamakhya Siddharth died after collapsing during a triathlon race in Goa.

He was immediately given medical help and taken to a nearby hospital, but unfortunately, he passed away the next day due to multiple organ failure.

The organizers of the race expressed their sadness and offered their condolences to Siddharth’s family and friends. The police have stated that his family has not filed a complaint regarding his death.

The race is called ‘Ironman 70.3 Goa’. You have to do multiple athletic activities in this race including swimming, cycling, and running in this race. Siddharth was participating in the individual category of the race when he collapsed.

Siddharth had described himself as an adrenaline junkie and a mountaineer, traveler, and a “triathlete under training”, on his social media profiles.

He had been training for the triathlon. He also used to document his training routines on his social media accounts. He had completed a half-marathon earlier this year in his hometown of Ranchi.

Siddharth pursued engineering after finishing school and moved to Gurgaon for a job at a consulting firm in 2019. He had trained in open waters in Goa for the swimming portion of the triathlon, ahead of this race.

Siddharth’s death has saddened his family, friends and fans. His family is expecting to receive support during this difficult time.

Ironman 70.3 Goa Panji is a triathlon endurance race. It involves a 1.2-mile swim, a 56-mile cycling ride, and a 13.1-mile run. It is one of the most challenging endurance races in the world. This kind of race requires a high level of fitness and training.
