Waltair Veerayya: RAW Brings An International Smuggler In Police Station

Chiranjeevi, Ravi Teja & other film stars will appear in Waltair Veerayya. The film narrates the story of RAW agents, police commissioner & a struggler.

An upcoming action comedy movie in the Telugu language, Waltair Veerayya, will be directed by K. S. Ravindra and made by Mythri Movie Makers. Along with Catherine Tresa, Rajendra Prasad, Shruti Haasan, and Ravi Teja, Chiranjeevi plays the title role in the movie.

Principal photography began in December 2021 after the movie’s announcement in August 2021. Filming was done in Hyderabad, Visakhapatnam, and Malaysia. 

Devi Sri Prasad created the music, and Arthur A. Wilson shot the movie. Release day for Waltair Veerayya is set for January 13, 2023, which also happens to be Sankranthi.

ACP Vikram Sagar now challenges Waltair Veerayya’s authority because he is determined to stop his smuggling operations. 

This causes an ego conflict between the two men. Waltair Veerayya is a famous smuggler who is wanted by RAW.

Waltair Veerayya features significant performances from Chiranjeevi, Ravi Teja, Shruti Haasan, Catherine Tresa, Rajendra Prasad, Prakash Raj, Bobby Simha, Nassar, and Sathyaraj, among others.

It was revealed in August 2021 that Chiranjeevi and K. S. Ravindra will collaborate on a movie, provisionally titled Mega154 (as it would be Chiranjeevi’s 154th movie), which would be made by Mythri Movie Makers. 

The movie made its official debut in November 2021. Chiranjeevi accidentally gave away the title of the movie, Waltair Veerayya, in April 2022. In October 2022, the title received official confirmation. 

The dialogues were written by Kona Venkat and K. Chakravarthy Reddy, and Ravindra wrote the plot. After working with Bobby on Power and Sardaar Gabbar Singh, Arthur A. Wilson was hired as the film’s cinematographer. The movie’s editor was Niranjan Devaramane.

Devi Sri Prasad wrote the soundtrack and the film’s score. Sony Music India purchased the audio rights. On November 23, 2022, the first song, titled “Boss Party,” was made available. On December 19, 2022, the second single, “Sridevi Chiranjeevi,” was made available. 

On December 26, 2022, the third single, “Veerayya Title Song,” was made available. On December 30, 2022, the fourth song, “Poonakaalu Loading,” was made available.

Waltair Veerayya and the Hindi dub version are slated to hit theaters on January 13, 2023, ahead of Makar Sankranti Day.
