Volkswagen Virtus To Be Launched In India On 9th June

Volkswagen is going to launch its mid-size sedan on 9th  June. The model will be a rival of Skoda Slavia, Honda City, Maruti Suzuki Ciaz & Hyundai Verna.

Volkswagen is about to launch its Virtus in India on June 9. This is a mid-size sedan coming from the company. In this car you get many class leading features along with sporty design.

It has been made keeping in mind the Indian market. This car has been produced at the Chakan Plant in Pune. This is the second car to be manufactured at this plant after the Volkswagen Taigun.

The company has decided to launch this car with 6 color options, including Rising Blue Metallic, Curcuma Yellow, Carbon Steel Gray, Reflex Silver, Candy White and Wild Cherry Red color options.

In the Indian market, this car is going to compete with Skoda Slavia, Honda City, Maruti Suzuki Ciaz and Hyundai Verna.

Volkswagen Virtus Engine

The company has given 2 engine variants in this car. Its first engine 1.0L TSI engine can generate 113bhp power and 178 Nm peak torque whereas its 1.5L TSI engine is capable of generating 148bhp and 250 Nm peak torque.

The 1.0L TSI engine of the Virtus comes mated to a 6-speed manual gearbox and a 6-speed torque converter automatic transmission. At the same time, its 1.5L TSI engine comes with a 7-speed DSG.

Volkswagen Virtus Features and Price

The car looks quite muscular from the front. At the front, you have got many more features like single slat grille, LED headlamps, L-shaped LED DRLs, 16-inch alloy wheels, sunroof, contrast black ORVMs, wrap around LED taillamps and boot mounted number plate.

Black and beige color combination can be seen in its interior as well as it also has a 10-inch infotainment system which comes with support for Android Auto and Apple Carplay.

The company has also given many modern features like electric sunroof, automatic climate control, cruise control and wireless charging in this car. The price of this car can be between 9 lakhs to 12 lakhs.
