The film has a well-suited star cast with Rajkummar Rao playing the lead character along with Triptii Dimri. Other stars in the cast are Vijay Raaz, Mallika Sherawat Archana Puran Singh, etc. This star power probably helped drive the film to have a good opening day, regardless of the criticisms received.

The musical production has support from a number of big studios, T-Series, and Balaji Telefilms, among others. The film was released on the 11th of October and has been in the news ever since, and so, has been the topic of discussion in Bollywood, the box office collection of which if sustained can result in a very good theatrical run in the weeks to come.
