UK PM Sunak & Akshata Murty Get Featured On ‘Asian Rich List 2022′

The current Prime Minister of UK Rishi Sunak & businesswoman Akshata Murty (his wife) debuted on ‘Asian Rich List 2022′ in the United Kingdom.

Rishi Sunak, the current prime minister of the United Kingdom, and his wife Akshata Murty have made their first appearance on the “Asian Rich List 2022” of the country. 

The Hinduja family is ranked first, while Sunak and his wife are ranked number seventeen.

Co-founding father of Indian IT giant Infosys is Sunak’s father-in-law, NR Narayan Murthy. Valued at £790 million, the pair. 

With an estimated worth of roughly £30.5 billion, the Hinduja family tops the list for the seventh time in a row.

At the 24th annual Asian Business Awards held at the Westminster Park Plaza hotel on Wednesday night, Mayor of London Sadiq Khan gave Ritu Chhabria, daughter of Gopichand Hinduja, Co-Chairman of the Hinduja Group, a copy of the “Asian Rich List 2022.”

Oliver Dowden, MP, Chancellor of Dutchy of Lancaster, who was the chief guest at the event, said to the audience, “Throughout my life, I have seen first-hand the hard work, perseverance, and ingenuity of the British Asian community. 

Additionally, I have a British Asian boss in my most recent job—my dear buddy Mr. Rishi Sunak, the first British Asian Prime Minister in history.

An Indian multinational business called Hinduja Group operates in eleven industries.

16 billionaires from the UK made this year’s Asian Rich List, one more than in 2017. The majority of these billionaires saw a gain in wealth or a stable level of wealth from the previous year.

The other richest people on the list are Lakshmi Mittal and his son Aditya (12.8 billion pounds), Prakash Lohia and his family (8.8 billion pounds), and Nirmal Sethia (6.5 billion pounds).

On October 25, Rishi Sunak became the first person of Indian descent to hold the position of prime minister in the UK. After Liz Truss’ turbulent seven-week reign came to an end, Sunak took over.
