UK PM Refers To India As ‘The Pharmacy of The World’

On the visit to India, the UK PM referred to India as ‘The Pharmacy of The World’. He called India’s PM Narendra Modi as his ‘Khaas Dost’ (Special Friend).

The purpose of the visit is to boost bilateral relations including the initiatives of trade deals, high-level defense, next-gen security & diplomacy.

India: The Pharmacy of The World

The UK PM thanked India for its participation in the global COVID-19 vaccination campaigns. He referred to India as the ‘The Pharmacy of the World.’

During the pandemic India had supplied COVID vaccines, medical resources & other vindication to several countries, when the world needed it most.

The UK PM said, “I have an Indian jab in my arm. Thank you, India! India has become the pharmacy of the world.”

Boris Johnson Calls PM Modi as ‘Khaas Dost’

Boris Johnson referred to Prime Minister Modi as his ‘khaas dost’ (‘special friend’) during a joint press conference.

In a pleasant moment, the UK Prime Minister began his speech by remarking that his lavish reception in Gujarat had made him feel like Indian Celebrities. He was overwhelmed & named it as a ‘Fantastic Welcome.”

The UK PM said, I felt like Sachin Tendulkar upon my arrival and also like Amitabh Bacchan when I saw hoardings everywhere.”

In return, India’s PM Modi also wrote on Twitter,

“Wonderful to see you, my friend Boris Johnson in India on a long-awaited visit. Look forward to our discussions today.”

Commence Talks Between PMs of India & UK

PM Modi and Johnson discussed strengthening the proposed free trade deal, collaboration in the Indo-Pacific, and defense cooperation.

The major focus is said to be on strengthening bilateral relations and executing the India-UK Roadmap 2030.

The UK PM showed his wisdom & didn’t lecture India, for not applying sanctions on Moscow midst of the conflict Russia & Ukraine.

Johnson said, “I don’t think the things have ever been as strong or as good between us (India-UK) as they are now.”

The high-level meetings between the two countries were held for the next-generation defense, diplomacy, trade and security collaboration across the 5 dimensions of land, sea air, space & cyber.
