UAE’s Continued Support Praised by President of Philippines in Phone Call

During a phone talk, the President of the Philippines Ferdinand Marcos Jr. showed his considerable gratitude to the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and its permanence. In the dialogue held on October 14, the priority was made to further enhance diplomatic relations, especially in humanitarian and infrastructural fields. This conversation is more evidence of the already excellent relations between the two nations.

Strengthening Bilateral Relations

On the three-way phone conversation, President Marcos Jr. recognized the UAE’s importance to the growth of the Philippines across energy, technology, and health industries. This paper also identified that the UAE supported the Philippine’s infrastructure projects both in terms of financial and technical assistance hence helped in the country’s growth. These efforts are within the framework of the further development of the bilateral economic cooperation.

In addition, both leaders touched upon the issue of culture and labor relations. UAE currently hosts a large number of Filipino workers who have greatly benefited their own country and UAE. Strengthening the bilateral relation between the UAE and the Philippines, the UAE was acknowledged for its efforts to the rights and well-being of the Filipino expatriates in the country.

A Future of Continued Cooperation

For the future, both countries’ vision involves further development of the relations in all fields including trade, tourism, education spheres. President Marcos Jr. said that the UAE has been continuously helping the Philippines especially in humanitarian assistance during calamities. The two leaders also stated their interest in expanding cooperation in a number of sectors such as renewable energy and climate change.
