The VP, PM & Ruler of UAE has renamed Al Minhad district & closed regions as ‘Hind City’. The city is divided into 4 zones – Hind 1, Hind 2, Hind 3, & Hind 4.
The Al Minhad neighborhood and its surrounding territories have been renamed “Hind City” by Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the UAE’s Vice President, and Prime Minister.
According to WMA, the official news outlet of the United Arab Emirates, the statement was made by the ruler of Dubai on Sunday.
The four zones that make up the city’s 83.9 km2 will hereafter be referred to as “Hind 1, Hind 2, Hind 3, and Hind 4.”
Major roadways including Emirates Road, Dubai-Al Ain Road, and Jebel Ali-Lehbab Road will all provide access to The Hind City.
According to Gulf News, the recently renamed neighborhood is one of the main residential districts in the nation and is home to several Emirati homes.
Rashid Al Maktoum, Sheikh Rashid Bin Saeed Al Maktoum’s third son, is regarded as one of the nation’s most well-known real estate developers. Following the passing of his brother in 2006, he assumed the position of Vice President.
The recently renamed city, “Hind City,” is situated close to Damac Hill 2 in the Al Qudra desert, according to TimeOut Dubai.
Due to its proximity to important routes like Emirates Road, Al Ain Road, and Jebel Ali-Lehbab Road, the region is well known for hosting a number of Emirati residents.
Although renaming a district was ordered, it is not the first time a location in the UAE has undergone a renaming.
Burj Dubai was renamed Burj Khalifa in 2010 in honor of Sheikh Khalifa Bin Zayed AL Nahyan, the ruler of Dubai at the time, who had passed away on May 13, 2022.
